Corona - social distance - solidarity - economy - exit strategy - state of emergency

Keywords that could lead to brainstorming, but actually lead more to an emotional storm. After a three-week interruption of work, we gradually resume our activities. In doing so, we pay attention to the safety of our employees.

Within eight days, and with an incredible amount of intensity, vigour, sweat, teamwork, creative spirit, humour, enthusiasm, passion, and, and, and, a unique, enchanting oasis has been created on our project site. Under “About us - documentation”, a wonderful project description about “The Wall” is available.

We accomplished the relocation of Addis Guzo to a new project site, and our project shines with new splendor. Seven years after Addis Guzo was “born” in Ethiopia, the next "phase of life" commences at a new location.

Addis Guzo reloaded!

The seventh year itch of Addis Guzo brings us the big change. In the near future we will move with our project to a new location in Addis Ababa. The conversion work on the new site is ongoing.

Ongoing trainings and further education activities at Addis Guzo

The term family is defined very broadly. “My sister” or “my brother” are not only indicators of direct family members but also are used for cousins extended relatives and family friends. Children often grow up with other family members like aunts and uncles. Many families take care of children in need. All in all Ethiopians take care of each other, whether close family, neighbors and friends.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities 3. December is an United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote an understanding of people with disabilities and encourage support for their dignity, rights and wellbeing. Each year the UN announces a theme. The theme for 2015 is:

Inclusion matters: access and empowerment for people of all abilities.

We celebrate this event with an Open Day at Addis Guzo on December 12.
